"Working with bees is not just a profession for me - it is my passion and a source of constant learning and reward"
About Upendo
I am Upendo, and my passion lies in the preservation and well-being of our beloved bees. As essential elements of our ecosystem, bees have faced significant challenges in recent years due to overproduction, climate change, and water scarcity. The traditional practice of beekeeping has deep roots among Tanzanian tribes, but a lack of specialized knowledge combined with diminishing biodiversity has led to the abandonment of many hives.
My mission is to restore balance to the ecosystem through the power of bees and create the ideal conditions for them to carry out their vital tasks. I am dedicated to sharing my knowledge, expertise, and life-long passion with anyone who wishes to join me in this noble cause, while also enjoying the benefits of honey production.
I offer my beekeeping services to all those who seek to care for bees. With a background as a professional beekeeper and rural development planner, I can reach even the most remote areas in our country to design, educate, and monitor beekeeping practices within local communities. Over the years, I have successfully collaborated with various conservation funds and NGOs in Tanzania, showcasing my skills and commitment to the cause.
In addition to assisting professional beekeepers by providing insights into the latest technologies and trends in the field, I also extend my knowledge and services to enthusiasts who wish to keep bee hives in their gardens as a hobby.
My ultimate goal is to apply my expertise in rural development and beekeeping to contribute to the regeneration of nature. I am eager to share my know-how with anyone who cares for bees, be it local communities, farmers, or hobbyists. Rest assured that my working methods are entirely ecological, and I take pride in offering honey and other bee products that are 100% natural and sourced from non-polluted areas.
Let's work together to create a brighter future for bees and our planet.

Community Impact & NGO Work
Learn about our community work

My work goes beyond beekeeping as a business—it is deeply rooted in community empowerment and environmental restoration. Building on my hands-on experience in the field, I founded an NGO dedicated to supporting local communities, particularly women, through sustainable beekeeping and value-added production.
I have worked extensively with organizations such as Hand in Hand, the Friedkin Conservation Fund, and Wild Survivors, delivering practical training programs that create real economic opportunities. Through these initiatives, I have trained over 250 women in beekeeping, candle making, and natural cosmetics in local communities of Manyara, Makao, Tarangiri Tabora and Arusha equipping them with skills to generate income and build resilience.
These programs are designed not only to improve livelihoods, but also to restore biodiversity and strengthen the role of bees within local ecosystems. By combining traditional knowledge with modern techniques, we help communities return to beekeeping in a more sustainable and profitable way.
My vision is to scale this impact—empowering more communities, restoring ecosystems, and creating long-term, self-sustaining opportunities through the power of bees.Write your text here...
